Flying drones near airports requires a permit

Flying drones near an airport requires special permission from air traffic control. This applies to every single occasion, and you also need to make sure that traffic control can reach you during the entire time the flight takes place.
Flight safety is always the highest priority. Should an unidentified/illegal drone be in the vicinity of an airport, all air traffic will be shut down immediately. It is therefore very important that you know what applies before you send up a drone.

Illegal drone flying is investigated as a suspected violation of the Aviation Act.
