Open House 2024
Last year’s Open House was a success!
1750 happy visitors of all ages looked at the emergancy vehicles, had a seat in the airplane, and hit the target with the fire hose!
During the day – with the theme Blue Lights – both Police, Ambulance, and KRSTD Rescue Service were represented. As usual, the Flying Club and Parachuting Club were on site, and SAR surprised with a VR experience.
A fantastic day that we will work to surpass in 2025!
Skydiving
On the other side of our runway, you will find the Skånes Parachute Club, one of Sweden’s oldest parachute clubs. If daring enough, you can book a tandem jump here; or a course to learn to jump on your own!
If you prefer to stay on the ground, you can settle down in the Sprill Café with a coffee and enjoy the view of parachutes landing in from a safe distance.
The flying club
Kristianstads Flygklubb has its base just north of the tarmac at Kristianstad Österlen Airport. KRFK’s members organize lots of fun and interesting activities all year round. With their three planes, they offer training, travel, and free flight. They also carry out so-called fire flights on behalf of KSAK to detect forest fires. A very important work that is of great help to the emergency services.

Senior citizens café with exciting topics
One Friday a month during the spring and autumn semesters, we invite all seniors to our popular seniors cafés. We meet, have coffee, and listen to new guests on every occasion. The moderator is resourceful Håcan Nilsson, who makes sure it’s both fun and interesting when he interviews the guest of the month. Do you also want to receive information about the next event?
